After winning gold in the Tokyo Olympics’ 68kg final against Blessing Oborududu, Nigeria, U.S. wrestler Tamyra Mensah–Stock was asked by a reporter a simple question. Mensah Stock was asked, “How does it feel representing your country like that?”
“I love representing America. Before smiling and pumping her fist, the Olympic gold medalist declared, “I freaking love living in the U.S.”
Mensah Stock, who started wrestling in Katy, Texas in 10th grade, was prodded by her sister. She said she didn’t have any role models early on in her career but had her sister to lean on.
“When I first started wrestling, I wanted to be an emblem, a light to younger women and show them that you can be silly, you can have fun and you can be strong,” Mensah-Stock told USA Today. “You can be tough. You can be a wrestler. And you don’t need to be like me,” – growl.
Mensah Stock, a newcomer to Mainstreet USA after she won gold, is the most liked athlete from the Games. Citizens who have been subject to the cruel treatment of social justice warriors and deprived of the Games’ fun, their smiles, love of country, positive nature, and positive attitude have noticed her smile.
Mensah Stock knew what she wanted to do with the gold medal money.
“I wanted to give my mom $30,000 so she can get a food truck, ’cause it’s her dream,” she said. “And she said to me five years ago, “Alright mommy. I’ll get your food truck. But you have to be responsible.
“So, my mom’s startin’ her food truck!” She will start her own cooking business. She is a great cook. Barbecue!”
Here’s the story of Tokyo. We’ll now see if athletes who detest this country are on board.
