VANCOUVER (BC) — Three more bodies were discovered by the British Columbia Coroners Service near Pemberton. This brings the total number of victims of a landslide that occurred due to heavy rains and swept cars off the road.

Chief coroner Lisa Lapointe stated Saturday that the search for a fifth body continues.

Monday saw the recovery of the body of a woman.

Lapointe stated that another body was found Wednesday, and that two more bodies were discovered on Thursday.

She said that efforts were continuing Friday to locate the fifth missing person, but they were unsuccessful.

Mike Farnworth, Provincial Public Safety Minister, stated that no-necessary vehicles will be restricted to eight gallons (30 Liters) per trip to a gas station. This order will last until December 1.
