NEW YORK — The Meghan hour was Thursday on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show. A special guest was welcomed by the Duchess. She prank-shopped around the studio lot and announced that she will be cooking Thanksgiving dinner.

“I love to cook. Meghan shared her thoughts about the second Thanksgiving she spent in California with Prince Harry, and their two children.

DeGeneres and Meghan met in a pet shop more than a decade back. They chatted about Halloween (Archie was an animal dinosaur, and baby Lili a skunk), as well as more serious issues such Meghan’s push to get federal paid family leaves. She said Harry is adjusting well to California, where Ellen is a neighbor.

Meghan stated, “He loves it.” “We are just happy.”

Meghan was Ellen-style funny when she donned an electronic earpiece to allow Ellen to tell her what she should say and do while she perused the merchandise of three vendors on the studio lot. After a pretend assistant instructed the three sellers to treat Meghan just like everyone else, Meghan was able to eat cat ears and eat hot sauce on crackers like an animal chipmunk. They couldn’t stop laughing.

“Let Mommy try some. Meghan said that her boo loves hot sauce. She also gave a table of hot sauces to a seller. “Mommy needs some heat.”

After helping herself through difficult times, Brittany Starks (a Tennessee mother/hairdresser) gave back by braiding the hairs of schoolchildren free of charge. A Twist of Greatness, a charity she started, has been supported by her family.

TisBest, a philanthropy partner of the show, donated $20,000 for her cause. Meghan and Harry added $20,000.

Starks was elated when Meghan said, “We were so touched and touched by your story,” and she gave her a hug.
