Quin Snyder, Utah Jazz head coach, cleared the NBA’s safety and health protocol on Sunday. He will be back with the team Monday when the Jazz take on the New York Knicks at Vivint arena.

Snyder, who had been away for a week from the Jazz team, was back at the helm of Jazz practice on Sunday. The Jazz are gearing up for the final two games before the NBA Trade Deadline.

Snyder was unable to be with the team for the first time. However, despite the difficulties and the adversity that the team has experienced, Snyder has been impressed by the team’s stability under the guidance of Alex Jensen, their assistant coach.

The Jazz lost against Minnesota on Sunday but have won two of their last three games against the Denver Nuggets, Brooklyn Nets, and the Brooklyn Nets.

Snyder stated that “Our entire staff, Alex in particular, did an amazing job.” “Sometimes there are silver linings, and it was an opportunity for our staff members to realize how well-prepared they are. They probably knew this better than I did.

Snyder was away from the game but not far from his team. Snyder said on Sunday that he wanted to allow his coaches the time they needed to make decisions. However, it would be unusual for him to be absent from close contact.

Regular Zoom meetings were held with the coaching staff prior to and after each game. Donovan Mitchell joked that Snyder had already sent him multiple texts and that he would contact him again after Friday’s match against the Nets.

Snyder was positive for the test a week ago, while the team was in Minnesota. Joe Ingles was returning from a medical flight to Utah after sustaining a devastating ACL tear in his left leg during a game against Timberwolves.

Snyder stated that he didn’t know what he was until he landed. He didn’t see the moment or feel it happen. “I spoke to him after the initial grieving period…It is hard to overstate my feelings for him.”

On Monday, the Jazz will play the Knicks. Wednesday, the Jazz will be at home to host Golden State Warriors.
