MALIBU – EXCLUSIVE Anthony Anderson is reflecting upon his career and time with “Black-ish” after eight seasons and 168 episode.
Fox News Digital spoke to the actor and comedian 51 years old about the impact that “Black-ish” has had on the world. However, he did not speak out to praise the program for being a cultural favorite. He explained that the show’s legacy should remain in the hands of the people.
“I don’t know, man, about the impact because it’s in my head, you know. I’m living in the moment,” the host of “To Tell the Truth” explained Saturday at the Celebrity Sweat flag-football game at Pepperdine University, Malibu.
He said, “You should question regular people what kind of impact it has had on them.” “All I know about us is that we tell the stories that impact us as a community, the stories we want to tell, and how it affected our family. We also create and take control of the narratives about how it affected us.
Anderson believes that “Black-ish”, which is currently airing its last season, has played a significant role in the development of a new generation of prosperity and growth within Black communities.
Anderson stated that the current times are “in the zeitgeist” of the world. “But I believe that this question should be asked to someone who is not part of the culture or a fan.
The “Law & Order” star also looked back on how his life has turned out, explaining that he had dreamed of being an actor since he was a child.
He said, “This has been a dream of mine from the age of nine. I’m now 51 years old and have worked at this craft for 42 years. I intend to keep working.” “I work hard every day to show my potential and get opportunities. It’s about creating opportunities for myself and being a student of both the craft and the game. It’s worked for us, I know that.
