However, Albert Bourla, the CEO, told “Face the Nation”, moderator Margaret Brennan, that Pfizer does not cut ties completely with Russia. He noted that although the company makes some medicines in Russia, it does not export to Russia.
Bourla noted that trade restrictions often exempt lifesaving drugs from humanitarian considerations.

Bourla stated, “How can they say that I won’t send the Russian cancer drugs to Russians because of their actions?”

A string of Western companies have halted operations in Russia over the past two weeks or pulled out completely from Russian markets. McDonalds, Coca-Cola all announced this week that they would be pulling back.

Bourla stated that Pfizer is not exposed to Russia and that any financial loss from the conflict will be “very minor”. Bourla stated that Russia contributes less than half of the company’s total revenue.

Brennan was informed by him that he doesn’t expect any supply chain disruptions or price pressure to be a result of the conflict.

Bourla stated that “we are very independent in terms our supplying our components from those parts of world.” “We don’t expect to see any disruptions in the world right now, at most, due to this war.”
