Two teenagers were arrested in connection to a shooting incident on a busy Philadelphia street. The video shows that they heard gunfire and pulled out their guns. They then fired randomly, according to prosecutors.
Officials said that three people were killed and twelve others were injured in a fistfight on the city’s South Street.
Officials said that two people were previously arrested in connection to the shooting.
Qaadir Duches-Hill, Nahjee Whittington, and two other individuals were also arrested in Virginia on Thursday. They will face charges for the murders, according to the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.
According to video footage, it doesn’t appear that Whittington or Dukes-Hill knew about the fistfight group, Assistant District Attorney Joanne Pescatore stated at a news conference.
She said, “This seems to be Mr. Whittington or Mr. Dukes Hill, in response to the gunshots happening down the street, just took out their guns and randomly fired.”
Prosecutors claim that Gregory Jackson (34), shot first at another man, who then returned fire and killed Jackson.
The man who fired back was also wounded. Pescatore stated that he is not being charged and was considered a victim.
Officials said Quran Garner (18) was shot in the direction that the altercation was taking place. It is not clear if he struck anyone. A police officer shot him in the hand and he is being criminally charged.

Officials claimed that almost all of the victims and those who were injured or killed were innocent bystanders.
Police have stated that eleven of the injured were wounded and one was shot. A 12th victim was also hurt by broken glass.
According to the district attorney’s office, Alexis Quinn was a home-health aide who was shot by Dukes Hill.
According to prosecutors, Kristopher Minners was killed by Whittington’s shot. He was a Girard College residential adviser who was celebrating his 22nd Birthday.
According to the office of the district attorney, Whittington and Dukes-Hill will face murder, conspiracy, and other charges.
“Sadly, there’s nothing new about people hearing shots fired and reaching for whatever weapon they have,” Lawrence Krasner, District Attorney, said.
Krasner stated that the violence on Saturday began as an unjust fistfight, with two people attacking each other, and then “it went from fists, to bullets very quickly.”

Officials said that Whittington and Dukes-Hill (18 years old) were being held in Virginia on Thursday pending extradition. It wasn’t immediately clear if the two had lawyers who could speak for them.
There are conflicting reports on Whittington’s age and whether he’s now 18 years old since Saturday’s shooting.
