Officers discovered the bodies of 31 people and 16 cremated remains in a funeral home, Indiana, Saturday police reported.
Maj. Isaac Parker, of Jeffersonville’s police department, stated that the inspection of Lankford Funeral Home & Family Center was prompted by a tip about the business’s condition. He is also from Louisville, Kentucky.
According to reports, the bodies were in various stages of decomposition. Police are not certain if there was any wrongdoing. There have not been any arrests.
According to the Jeffersonville Police Department, the discovery is part a continuing investigation.
