The National Police has found almost all of a human skeleton on the Picapedreros-El Boticario trail, a 6 km route in Los Montes de Málaga. The person has not yet been identified, but everything indicates that his death occurred a decade ago. The bones will be analyzed at the Legal Institute to try to find out who they belong to and what could have happened to them.
The case opened last week, when a hiker reported the discovery of several skeletal remains. It was his dog who located the bones in this point of the Malaga province, which caused the Police to search the area in a first raid where, in addition, they found a backpack that could provide clues about what happened.
It was in a new inspection by the Scientific Police when almost the entire skeleton was located. The first investigations point to a voluntary death.
On the other hand, as reported this Monday by newspaper Sur, the data indicates that the person had been dead for more than ten years. The area where the bones were found is a hiking route that is just 6 kilometers long and has a low level of difficulty.
