The real estate developer Conren Tramway challenges the doubts of the sector with the 22@ office market in Barcelona. The Barcelona firm has acquired a plot of land from Grupo Castellví in the heart of the technology district to build a new corporate building. This is the first significant land purchase operation in the area in the last two years, a stage marked by the sharp increase in the availability of office space. The amount of the operation has not been disclosed.

The asset is located near Plaza Glòries, the heart of 22@. Specifically, it is located at the confluence of Tánger, Badajoz and Ávila streets. This is the most coveted area of ??the technology district, where large multinationals and groups such as Amazon, HP, Oracle or Cuatrecasas are located. The architectural project has been entrusted to the prestigious Batlleiroig studio. The forecast is that work on the property will begin during the first half of 2026 and the building will be delivered in 2028.

With the announcement of the large rental operation of 25,000 square meters of the Estel building by AstraZeneca, the real estate sector expects that hiring levels will be reached on average in recent years; that is, about 300,000 m².
