In The Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia we invite you to discover the Tombs of Sant Genís, located in the municipality of Sant Fruitós de Bages.

It is a burial place for collective burial in block tombs, of the “bathtub” type, which we find in the Vall dels Horts. To get there, from Mas Oliveres you have to take the road to Sant Genís and follow it for 1 km. On the right hand side, 50 meters from the road are the tombs.

These are two tombs excavated in the rock, in displaced and fallen blocks. One of them is lying on its side and its ends are missing.

It is believed that they are specifically from the Early Middle Ages, as detailed in the Mapes de Patrimoni Cultural of the Diputació de Barcelona, ??they have been known since 1910 when Fortà Solà published their existence.

Josep Barberà, of the Museum of Archeology in Barcelona, ??inventoried them in 1960. And two other experts, Antoni Daura and Joan Galobart, studied them in 1982.
