The 31st edition of Temporada Alta reaches its zenith with the week of programmers, days in which a varied offer of high quality is concentrated, covering all disciplines. From November 17 to 20, the Girona festival exhibits international productions and world premieres, showing the best contemporary theater.

After the impediments of the pandemic, the Italian Romeo Castellucci finally presents the performative installation Il Terzo Reich. “He is about language, about the dark side of language, in order to control us. Words march against us and we feel threatened by these words, by this language”, declares the Italian creator about his denunciation of uncritical contemporary communication.

Johann Le Guillerm presents his circus for one man only with Terces. “I am alone because I have many things to show and little time,” says the French artist. And I want to show a group with a clear control of time and space. My origins come from traditional circus practices and I have preferred to focus on minority practices, which are no longer done or will never be done”.

Eva Yerbabuena and Juan Kruz Díaz from Garaio Esnaola are the creators of Re-fraction (From my eyes). “There comes a time in life when you need to stop and look at yourself again – declares the choreographer –, in this case, through Juan’s eyes. We share a language, we don’t merge, which is a word I don’t like. We need that provocation of intentions, which is when the duende appears, the magic”.

Marcos Morau and the Led Silhouette company take the duo Los perros to Girona, a dance performance that could already be seen in Tàrrega, in which the body and movement are used as dog bites.

The programming week is completed with multidisciplinary proposals such as those of Stefan Kaegi (Temple du présent), Guillem Albà (Ma solitude), Cabosanroque (Flowers and journeys), Txalo Toloza-Fernández (Canto mineral), Col·lectiu Las Huecas (Those que deben morir) and The Count of Torrefiel (Una imagen interior).
