Five months after the unexpected death in the jacuzzi of his home, the will of the actor of Friends Matthew Perry has seen the light. The first thing that draws attention is the date of the document, 2009. According to American media, the 54-year-old artist named two of her friends, Lisa Ferguson and Robin Ruzan, to be the executors of his million dollar estate. The assets are in a trust, which the actor named the Alvy Singer Living Trust, which makes explicit reference to the character played by Woody Allen in the movie Annie Hall. Lisa Ferguson will be in charge of managing Perry’s estate, as Robin Ruzan chose not to serve as executor on March 4. Ferguson will go to the judge on April 10 for the first hearing of the will.
Since it is dated 2009, the beneficiaries of the will are his parents, John Perry and Suzanne Morrison; his sister, Catilin Morrison, and his ex-girlfriend, Rachel Dunn. The actor met her in 2003, a few months after breaking up his relationship with actress Maeve Quinlan. Rachel Dunn was an anonymous fashion student and was a breath of fresh air for the protagonist of Friends, who until then had had affairs with stars such as Julia Roberts, Heather Graham and Yasmine Bleeth. The couple met after Dunn moved from his native Cambridge (United Kingdom) to the United States, where he wanted to pursue higher studies. Their relationship, in addition to attracting attention for the anonymity of the young woman, also stood out for the age difference, since Perry was then 35 years old, and the British woman, 19. During the two years that lasted their relationship, Perry reportedly stayed away from drugs and alcohol. However, the relationship broke up soon after. Perry promised that he would “stay focused on his sobriety,” and Dunn has not been heard from since.
Then, 15 years ago, the protagonist of other films, such as False Appearances and Another Time 17, also pointed out that the children he might have in the future would not have any right to access his heritage. However, the comedian never had offspring.
According to the documents, Perry owned $1,030,000 (about 945,000 euros) in personal property “not limited to jewelry, furniture and utensils, artwork and automobiles,” although the executors have found other additional assets that are not they are in this private trust.
A few days ago, another ex-girlfriend, Kayti Edwards, asked the police to reopen the investigation into her death, as she believes there were irregularities. Kayti Edwards, who maintained a great friendship with Matthew Perry until the end of his days, claims that he has witnessed how the actor had “dishonest” medical staff who supplied him with drugs. The autopsy revealed that he had died from ketamine. As Kayti explained to the Mirror newspaper, she saw how Perry paid nurses to supply him with up to 50 opioid pills a day. The woman claims that she is sure that some doctor or nurse could be behind the dose of ketamine that was found in the actor’s body.
