In its annual ranking of the best streets in the world, the publication Time Out places Consell de Cent Street among the ten best on the planet. This medium points out that after its pedestrianization and transformation as a green axis, this part of the city has become a “vibrant stretch”, full of restaurants, boutiques and places to hang out. “Walking through Consell de Cent is like taking a walk through a microcosm of Barcelona,” the magazine states.
“You have everything from the latest trends, such as Chinese hot pot shops, CBD stores and beauty salons” to vermouth bars, artisanal bakeries and “cozy places” to eat omelette. The publication also recommends somewhere to have ice cream, a pizzeria or art galleries, as well as different LGBTQ cafes and bars.
The list is topped by Melbourne’s High Street, followed by Kong Kong’s Hollywood Road and this particular podium is completed by East Elevent, from the American city of Austin.
