The first meeting between the company and workers at the Amazon Martorelles plant after the strike began has served for the management to make a movement in the field of relocation compensation.

Specifically, the company offers 5,250 euros gross for workers at T1 levels -warehouse waiters- who agree to change plants and 5,760 for those at T3 levels -area managers-.

Of the 745 workers at Martorelles, Amazon has offered to relocate a hundred in the center of El Prat de Llobregat, while the rest would be transferred to the plants in Zaragoza and Figueres. The workers interpret that this is not a transfer, but a closure, for which they request compensation of 69 days per year worked and 9 months of salary for those who accept the transfer.

The workers insist that the proposal is insufficient, because among other aspects, leaving the Barcelona area means a reduction in the economic capacity of those affected, who would lose conditions acquired such as nighttime or weekend bonuses.

Both parties will meet again on Monday, as they did today at the headquarters of the Labor Department. According to the workers, the company promised to deliver a complete proposal, including compensation for dismissals.
