Joaquín Torres is going through a particularly difficult stage in his life, punctuated by a series of personal events that have tested his strength and that of his relationship with Raúl Prieto. The architect is recovering from a serious motorcycle accident and is facing the painful death of his mother, added to this is a family dispute with one of his brothers.
With this panorama, it has been known that the couple has decided to take a break to recharge their batteries. Torres has told Europa Press how these circumstances have influenced her marriage to Prieto, who currently serves as director of Supervivientes 2024.
For the architect, too many things have come together and that has eroded the marriage. “The pain is combined with the death of my mother and my brother, but we have been dealing with that for many years,” Torres said. This series of unfortunate events has led the couple to rethink their current situation, and Torres has recognized the impact that his condition has had on the director: “Raúl has been enduring the unspeakable for a long time and one cannot ask for more.”
Torres has admitted, with great sincerity, that he feels like a burden to his partner, a situation that has led him to make the difficult decision to leave a little distance for the sake of both of their mental health. “I have decided to take some space for his mental health. He needs it,” she said. Furthermore, she has stressed that, despite the problems, there is no breakup on the way and that Prieto remains “the love of my life.”
In this way, this step back is not a goodbye, but an attempt to heal and preserve the love they both share. “We want to reach a good port,” guaranteed the architect, who these days has opened up about his current personal and sentimental situation.
In this regard, Beatriz Cortázar and Pilar Vidal told Y Ahora Sonsoles that the couple has had their ups and downs even before getting married, which suggests that this difficult stage could be another obstacle that, with effort and understanding, they will be able to overcome. “They have always had those comings and goings,” they commented on the program.
