With the arrival of good weather, the cyclists began to do more kilometers. After the cold months and few hours of daylight, we really want to go back to shooting with our ‘group’.
Beyond weekend outings, we like to mark a few events on the calendar to stay motivated and explore new areas.
In a few days, specifically on March 25, we have one of the first dates of the season. The Experience Garraf-Penedès cycling tour, in Vilanova i la Geltrú, is ideal for establishing a first contact with the world of cycling sports or to exceed the first goal of the season.
This cyclist presents a very familiar format, with activities for companions, various disciplines and some routes with no cut-off time. All this to be able to live the experience in a deep and unhurried way, to enjoy the bicycle as we like so much.
The two road itineraries will be covered by the Moto Club Sitges motorcyclists, who will be located at the crossroads and roundabouts to ensure the safety of the participants. Along with them, the organization has also hired unemployed people, in order to take advantage of the event as a dynamizer of the territory.
In the lead, a Racc Hola Bici car will open the way, to warn of the presence of cyclists and protect the peloton. From behind, a Skoda donated by the dealer Autocam, will act as a broom car.
The organization highlights the presence of women at the event. Despite the fact that, according to what they say, “it shouldn’t be news”, they are delighted to have a considerable percentage of female participation. The short route will have 33% women, a “very positive” figure, the result of the march’s efforts to attract this segment of the public.
