The Bayerische Motoren Werke, known as BMW, commemorates in 2023 the centenary of the launch of its first motorcycle, the legendary R32. A century of motorcycling life that has made the Bavarian brand the reference among European ones. That R32 was, like so many other post-war products, the result of necessity and circumstances because the paradox is that BMW -in reality- never wanted to build motorcycles, although it manufactured them before cars.
