The Second Section of the Provincial Court of Ciudad Real will judge A.R.M. on March 23, a man accused of sexually abusing a nine-month-old baby, the son of some friends. The Public Ministry requests seven years in prison for the alleged pedophile.
According to the provisional conclusions brief of the Prosecutor’s Office, the events took place on February 14, 2021 when the defendant was at his home together with his sentimental partner, her daughter and her partner, as well as a friendly couple who had come to eat at home with their two children, one two years old and the other nine months.
Once they finished eating and taking a nap, around five in the afternoon, everyone went out to the patio of the house, except for the defendant and the baby, who stayed in the living room. At that moment, the man decided to take the little boy to the kitchen with the clear intention of satisfying his sexual appetite.
Once there, he tried to abuse the baby, although he was unsuccessful when he was surprised by his partner’s daughter, who had entered the house again to go to the toilet. Realizing what was happening, the young woman reacted with loud screams and reproaches and took the baby on her lap. Upon hearing the girl’s screams, the rest of the family and the minor’s parents immediately went to the kitchen.
For the Prosecutor’s Office, the facts reported are legally constitutive of a crime of sexual abuse for which the defendant is criminally responsible as the perpetrator and asks to impose a sentence of seven years in prison.
