One more night, Traveling with Chester has landed on Cuatro. On this occasion, Jordi Alba has sat in the most famous room on television. The FC Barcelona footballer has opened up about various aspects of his life.
With Fútbol Club Barcelona in the crosshairs of the controversy, Jordi Alba has had no choice but to answer some more than uncomfortable questions. However, the man from L’Hospitalet de Llobregat has been very calm at all times.
Jordi Alba recalled his beginnings in football: “I spent 7 years in the Barça youth academy, but always with the idea that I was going to leave, that I wasn’t going to be there for long. There were many children of great quality and it was not in my head to reach the first team, but rather to enjoy it ”, he assured.
“Now that is very difficult due to pressure from parents. I remember that I saw many parents who put pressure on their children. To me, my parents, the only thing they asked me was if I had a good time”, recalled the footballer, visibly proud of his family.
Jordi Alba has confessed to Risto Mejide that he won his first million euros when he was playing for Valencia C.F. and that he did not give importance to it because money has never been the most important thing for him.
“The first thing I did was buy a car for my father. He went down to Valencia every 4 days to see me until one day he had an accident with another truck and his car was destroyed. Luckily nothing happened to him,” said the footballer.
“I went to the dealership with my representative and I bought him a surprise car because otherwise, he would not have wanted it: a Mercedes. I told him that a package from my brand would arrive and he went down to Hospitalet and received the car. He did not believe it , he began to cry; because of the detail and for having thought of him, not because of the car itself”, Jordi Alba detailed to the astonishment of Risto Mejide.
What do you know about the club’s relationship with the referees? Have you noticed favorable treatment from the referees during matches? Risto Mejide has not hesitated to ask the footballer about the relationship between the referees and Barça.
For his part, Jordi Alba has answered the questions without any problem. The man from L’Hospialet has ensured that he “has never seen anything strange on the pitch or noticed favouritism”.
