The ex-wife of television producer Josep Maria Mainat, Angela Dobrowolski, faced a new trial this Tuesday accused of an alleged crime of violating a precautionary measure with recidivism for disregarding the prohibition of communicating with him, issued by the court after she supposedly tried murder him The trial comes while Dobrowolski is already serving a sentence in the Wad-Ras prison, in Barcelona, ??for another case already tried for forging Mainat checks in which she was sentenced to two and a half years in prison.

In the trial this Tuesday, Dobrowolksi is accused of an alleged crime of breach of precautionary measures for sending an email to Mainat despite having a restraining order against him, and the television producer has been summoned to testify as a witness. Both have agreed before criminal court number 6 of Barcelona.

In the message, titled “Hide you pathetic faggot,” Dobrowolski “repeatedly rebuked and denigrated him, in addition to referring to common experiences that gave rise to the separation, and subsequent incidents between the two,” according to the prosecutor’s statement. accusation in which he demands a sentence of one year in prison that would be added to the current sentence.

During his statement this Tuesday, Dobrowolski blamed a friend, “Isabel”, for “sending an absolutely useless email” and stated that the friend “was not aware that by sending this email she could harm me.” The text of the email, as Dobrowolski has stated, would have been written by her at another time in her life, but he defends that it was not she who sent it after the restraining order was placed on her.

“I wrote that email at another time in my life,” the accused has defended to justify that the text contains a large number of intimate matters about her ex-partner.

For his part, the television producer has testified as a witness and wanted to highlight that the complaint that has addressed this trial was filed for more serious events that happened at that time. “The reason I felt threatened was because her current partner told me that she came home very upset and wanted to come in. She even said she wanted to come to my house with a sword,” Mainat said.

When asked if he wants the trials between them to end, he responded: “Yes, please.” For her part, Mainat’s lawyer, Olga Tubau, has told the media that the television producer is not appearing in this case as a private accusation, but as a witness. The questions from the Prosecutor’s Office and Dobrowolski’s defense have emphasized the language in which the email was written: in Spanish, while the communication between Dobrowolski and Mainat was, according to him, “90% in Catalan.”

Mainat also assured this Tuesday that he has contradictory feelings towards his ex-wife, Angela Dobrowolski: “I have contradictory feelings. I was very much in love for many years and then less so, and then there was an alleged murder attempt,” he said before entering the City of Justice in reference to the case that was opened where she allegedly tried to kill him with an overdose of insulin.
