The Guardia Urbana de Lleida arrested a 30-year-old man this Wednesday after crashing his car into a children’s park located between Calle Baró de Maials and Calle Rosa Parks, next to the CAP de Pardinyes-Balàfia-Secà.

According to the local police, he was trying to access a section under construction on Pallars street and when he saw the patrol he fled, driving “negligently and recklessly”, until he got stuck in a traffic light, the protection barrier of the park and swings.

The driver has tried to flee and has been detained on Vidal i Codina street. He has tested positive for drugs and alcohol. Two more men were traveling in the car and all three were injured and taken to the Arnau de Vilanova Hospital.

From the Lleida City Council they report that at that time there was no one in the park and that no personal injuries have been reported.
