A man allegedly killed his partner with a knife in Palmeira, in the Coruña municipality of Ribeira, this Tuesday afternoon and then tried to commit suicide, according to sources familiar with the case to Europa Press. It is being investigated as a sexist crime.
As reported by 112 to Europa Press, around 5:30 p.m. a private individual called to report an altercation in a home on Doctor Torres Street, in Palmeira, municipality of Ribeira. Thus, the National Police, Local Police, Ribeira firefighters and 061 were notified.
Upon entering the home, emergency services found a deceased woman inside. For his part, the man is in critical condition after attempting suicide and has been taken to the hospital. 061 sent a doctor from the Ribeira PAC and a medical ambulance.
The couple, about 25 years old, has a young son who was not at home.
