The consumption bonus of the Valencian Community can be requested from April 20. This was announced this Saturday by the president of the Generalitat Valenciana in an interview with Europa Press, in which he also announced that it will be in the first weeks of May when the call to request aid to pay variable mortgages will be opened.

The first measure that can be requested on Thursday, April 20, will function as a prepaid wallet card, and citizens will have 4 months (until July 15) from its issuance to spend the 90 euros on the purchase of food.

People residing in the Valencian Community whose annual family income has not exceeded 21,000 euros in 2021 will be able to benefit from this help voucher for the shopping basket. Likewise, the help is compatible with the Minimum Vital Income, the Valencian Inclusion Income and also with the help of the Government of Spain of 200 euros that is open until March 31, 2023.

On the other hand, the measures related to housing will consist of a reinforcement of the Bono Alquiler Joven program, through a contribution from the Generalitat Valenciana of an extra 30 million euros of own resources, with which it will be possible to reach a total of 8,900 young people with the support of 250 euros per month for two years, according to the calculations of the Valencian government.

In addition, there will be a second extraordinary family aid before the rise in Euribor. This new support is intended for people with medium and low incomes, it will offset the rise in rates on variable-rate mortgages for primary residences. For these cases, two cases are arbitrated: a 600-euro grant for families with incomes of up to 25,200 euros and who dedicate at least 40% of their salary to the contribution, and a 300-euro grant for families with an income of up to 33,600 euros and that dedicate at least 50% to the mortgage.

In both cases, the application for aid will begin in May and it is estimated that it will reach some 30,000 families, with a public investment of 18 million euros.
