This series of cinematic photographs in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia show a silhouette of a woman (the model is Siham El Khoulani) during sunrise on the Rinconcillo beach, in Algeciras, in front of the Rock of Gibraltar.
The message I want to convey with these images is: “Get ready today to continue fighting for your dreams like every day without getting tired, knowing that sooner or later they will come true and will no longer be a fantasy.”
This beach extends from the North Access Bridge of the port of Algeciras to the mouth of the Palmones River. It has a total length of 7,900 meters and an average width of 40 meters.
The marshes of the Palmones river form an estuary from where it is possible to observe a large number of birds, as well as a characteristic flora of this place.
El Rinconcillo also includes the small cove of La Concha that was incorporated into the main beach after the clearing of part of the cliff that separated them during the works for the northern access to the port of Algeciras.
The model’s silhouette merges with the landscape and is nuanced by the different lights and by the color of the sky at dawn.
