Between the months of April and October, 26 international writers will stay at the Muhba Vil·la Joana literary residence to work on their literary projects linked to the city of Barcelona. In this second edition, the selected residents will stay in groups of three that will be exchanged every three weeks.

The building, located in the Collserola mountain range, will offer a space for accommodation and creation where those housed will also participate in activities linked to the promotion of culture and literature in the city, in a parallel program of activities linked to the literary fabric of the city.

The former farmhouse of the writer Jacint Verdaguer has become a space for literary residences and constitutes one of Barcelona’s main projects as part of the Unesco Cities of Literature.

Throughout the following months, different people related to the world of letters will pass through the farm. Among them, names like Mike Rezendes, investigative journalist with a double Pulitzer Prize for the Spotlight case, the Bulgarian novelist, Alek Popov, or the Peruvian poet with Chinese roots, Julia Wong.
