The National Police has resolved eight cases of false complaints for theft with violence or intimidation of mobile phones and wallets in the Madrid towns of Coslada and San Fernando de Henares, reports Efe.

All the complainants are attributed a simulation of a crime and those who requested compensation from their insurance for the theft of their phone, in addition, a crime of fraud, as reported on Tuesday by the Madrid Police Headquarters.

The investigators detected inconsistencies and contradictions in the complaints filed by those allegedly affected.

Finally, the agents discovered that the complainants had lost their effects, or had stolen them carelessly in nightclubs and other entertainment venues.
