A 30-year-old man has been seriously injured after receiving an ax blow to the shoulder during an attack in an old inn in the town of Guadiaro, in the municipality of San Roque (Cádiz).

According to sources from the Andalusia 112 Emergency Service, the events occurred at 7:20 p.m. this Wednesday, when a group of people arrived in two cars at the old Venta Toledo, located on the A-2103 road in Guadiaro.

The attackers, who were armed, began to destroy the premises and injured one of the people who was there, a 30-year-old man, who received an ax blow to the shoulder.

Members of the San Roque Local Police and the Civil Guard traveled to the scene of the events, who found the badly injured man, who had managed to take refuge from his attackers, for which he was urgently transferred to the La Línea de la Concepción hospital ( Cádiz), where he has entered in serious condition.

The Civil Guard has opened an investigation to clarify the facts and, according to what police sources have indicated to EFE, one of the hypotheses being considered is that it may be due to a settling of accounts related to the trial for drug trafficking that is being held at the headquarters of Algeciras of the Provincial Court of Cádiz against the clan of ‘Los Castaña’.
