The forest firefighters have been carrying out tasks since the early hours of this morning to refresh the sensitive points of the perimeter of the fire declared yesterday in the Casella area, in the Valencian municipality of Alzira, with a fire that has maintained a favorable evolution throughout from last night.

Sources from the Emergency Coordination Center have reported that, at eight in the morning, five aerial means have been incorporated to carry out unloading, as a reinforcement of the hundred ground means that have been working during the night and to prevent the flames from entering the the natural area of the Murta.

During the night, the work has focused on consolidating and sealing the perimeter of the fire, although a small reproduction has been registered in an area of difficult access on the north face of the mountain, which has barely advanced.

The extinction actions will focus this morning on cooling the most sensitive points, on a day in which the weather forecasts indicate that the wind can reach gusts of up to 40 kilometers per hour, a factor that makes the work of the extinction teams difficult due to the risk of reproductions.

Around a hundred ground troops are maintained in the area with the support of five aerial means, which have been progressively incorporated since the early hours of the morning.
