Today the rain and fog leave us with this wonderful image of the castle of Eramprunyà de Gavà, in the Baix Llobregat, enveloped in the magical fog under the drops of water. Beautiful spring postcard that I share in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia.

In medieval times, the castle of Eramprunyà came to control the current territories of Gavà, Begues, Castelldefels, Sant Climent de Llobregat, Viladecans and part of Sant Boi de Llobregat.

Built as part of the defensive system of the border between Al-Andalus and the Carolingian Empire, it was owned by the counts of Barcelona.

Today, the remains of the castle can be seen on top of a mountain between cliffs with magnificent views of the Llobregat Delta and part of Garraf.

Although on days like today, the fog prevents not only seeing the landscape that surrounds the castle but also the remains of this emblematic fortress in Baix Llobregat.
