After obtaining control of the party in the regional congress that originated the fratricidal war with Pablo Casado, the president of the Community of offered two possibilities to all the leaders aligned at the time with the former state leader of the formation. Or convert to Ayusism or close the door before leaving.
The most applied, as is the case of the mayor of Madrid, José, have seen their penances annulled and keep their stripes intact by repeating as a candidate for the palace of Cibeles.

This is the case of the still Minister of the Interior, Enrique López, who is preparing his return to the judiciary; the former general secretary of the party in the region, Ana Camins, who will have to settle for being number three on the municipal list in Majadahonda; or Casado’s former chief of staff, Diego Sanjuanbenito, for whom it directly seems that there is no place in Ayuso’s PP.
The team of the regional president refuses to talk about revenge, but the cleaning carried out by Ayuso has meant, in round numbers, the renewal of 50% of the electoral candidates. A percentage that gives the Madrid leader absolute control over the entire territory on which the state leadership of the PP preferred not to comment yesterday.
“I don’t know about purges and other things, I only know that Feijóo has been respectful of the electoral decisions of each territory and continues to be so,” said his campaign spokesman, Borja Sémper, yesterday.
