A motorcyclist died this Sunday on the N-340 near El Vendrell (Tarragona) in an accident that also involved a car and an SUV.
As reported by the Catalan Traffic Service (SCT), the accident occurred at 11:30 a.m. at kilometer 1,191.8 of the aforementioned road in circumstances that are being investigated by the Mossos d’Esquadra.
The accident has mobilized five patrols of the Mossos, two endowments of the Fire Department of the Generalitat and three units of the Medical Emergency System (SEM). While circulation on the N-340 is totally restricted due to this incident.
With this deceased motorist there are already 41 fatalities in traffic accidents on interurban roads in Catalonia since the beginning of the year, according to the provisional balance of the SCT.
