The deputy of Unidas Podemos, Marisa Saavedra, has recovered after fainting while she was in her seat in Congress when the amendments to the Housing law that is expected to be approved this Thursday were being voted on.

Saavedra has suffered a fainting in his seat but his colleagues have been able to prevent him from falling to the ground. Immediately after, the Chamber’s medical services treated her. Likewise, the Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, who is a doctor, has quickly moved to the seat of the deputy to inquire about her state of health.

The vote on the amendments has been temporarily suspended until the deputy from Castellón has recovered. When the session resumed, the president of the Chamber, Meritxell Batet, announced that Saavedra “is more or less recovered and has simply gone to rest.”
