Agents of the National Police have arrested a man in Seville for posing as an insurance broker for a well-known company, in order to obtain an economic benefit by selling non-existent insurance to people who trusted him.

The investigation began almost a year ago due to the large number of complaints received, through which numerous victims informed the National Police agents that they had been deceived when purchasing their car insurance.

With the investigations carried out, the agents were able to verify that indeed, this supposed insurance broker sent false quotes and contracts with the logo and image of the well-known brand whose identity he had impersonated, with the aim of deceiving his victims to obtain an economic benefit.

The injured parties did not realize that they lacked insurance until they had an accident with their vehicles or were penalized for driving without the required policy.

Thus, after a thorough and tedious investigation, the National Police identified, located, arrested and brought to justice a man in Seville, as alleged responsible for fraud and document falsification, for the alleged contracts carried out fraudulently.

The investigation remains open, not ruling out the appearance of new victims, who, without knowing it yet, could have been victims of this deception.
