From the Almería Maritime Rescue coordination center, the Salvamar Spica was mobilized towards the area at the same time that a notice was issued to sailors since the fishing vessel could not maintain visual contact with the vessel for much longer.

The boat was finally located by the rescue ship around 11:00 p.m. with eight people on board, who stated that they had been at sea for about a week.
