The Local Police of Platja d’Aro (Girona) has denounced a driver without a license for being drunk and skipping a stop before the agents. The offender, who is 42 years old, forced the patrol to avoid her with her car to avoid an accident. When the policemen stopped her, as soon as she opened the window, they saw how she gave off a strong smell of alcohol. The woman, whose driving license had expired for a year and a half, marked a rate of 0.84 mg/l; that is, criminal positive. The thing, however, did not end here. Because when the agents identified her companion, who was very nervous, they saw what the offender’s ex-partner was like, and that she had broken a restraining order. That’s why they stopped him.
The events took place at dawn last Friday. At around quarter past three at night, a Local Police patrol that was patrolling Platja d’Aro had to swerve to avoid a car that had just jumped a stop sign. The vehicle ignored the sign that there was between Miramar street and Onze de Setembre avenue and left almost without looking.
After avoiding the crash, the patrol stopped the vehicle to identify the occupants. As soon as the driver rolled down her window, the officers noticed a strong odor of alcohol. For this reason, they asked the offender for documentation to do the breathalyzer test. The woman marked 0.84 mg/l of expired air, which exceeds the criminal limit and multiplies the permitted rate by three.
In addition, the agents also saw how the offender had an expired driving license for a year and a half. For this reason, she was denounced for a crime against traffic safety.
The events also ended with the arrest of the man who was in the passenger seat. The individual, who is 42 years old, was very nervous all the time. When the policemen verified his identity, they saw how he had a restraining order in force against the driver, who had been his partner. For this reason, the agents arrested him for a crime of breaking a sentence.
