Between the provinces of Shanxi and Shaanxi, in China, a very unique and spectacular natural scene takes place: the combination of one of the largest waterfalls in the country, the Hokou waterfall, accompanied by the flowering of peach trees. During these days, the ice that is concentrated in the highest part of the Yellow River begins to melt and provide the course of the torrent with abundant water, making it the most important waterfall.

Added to the spectacular nature of the flowing water is another natural spectacle, the flowering of the many peach trees planted along the course of the river. A combination that raises the admiration of tourists and observers of the natural environment. This magnificent coincidence occurs from the end of March to the beginning of April.

The Yellow River adopts this peculiar name due to the yellowish tone that its waters take on due to the large amount of sand it carries.
