In the field of motorcycles, electrification has already reached all segments, from the more urban alternatives with more restrained features to the more sporty ones, capable of offering spectacular levels of performance. And it must be taken into account that the proposals for asphalt are not the only protagonists, since there are options for all types of terrain.
One of the novelties designed for lovers of adrenaline and strong emotions is the Varg, from the Swedish manufacturer Stark Future. It is an electric motocross alternative that is among the fastest in the world and, according to its manufacturer, provides 30% more power than an equivalent traditional combustion variant with a 450cc engine.
One of the aspects in which the firm has worked thoroughly has been the lightness of the vehicle. And it is that it only weighs 118 kg, a very ambitious figure for a motorcycle of its category. Regarding its engine, it offers a power of 60 kW (about 80 CV) and a maximum torque that can reach no less than 938 Nm.
Although this model was released just a few months ago, this time has been enough for the manufacturer to have begun to introduce improvements that optimize its qualities. One of the most obvious comes from the battery, since the Varg now integrates a 6.5 kWh package integrated into a honeycomb-shaped magnesium structure that offers a high level of impermeability.
With this battery, the electric motorcycle is capable of offering enough autonomy to drive for around 6 hours on dirt tracks. As highlighted by Stark Future, the renewed battery provides better overall performance and greater energy consistency at any charge level, also ensuring greater efficiency and longer battery life.
It should not be overlooked, however, that this novelty has increased the weight of the motorcycle to the aforementioned 118 kg, a figure that was previously 100 kg. The Swedish brand has also introduced a novelty that will constantly improve the user’s driving experience. This is the possibility that the vehicle receives continuous software updates via OTA (over-the-air), that is, wirelessly.
The Stark Future firm has also taken great care in digital personalization. Users can choose between a hundred combinations when choosing a driving mode, with specific variations in parameters such as engine braking, traction control and many more.
Likewise, the brand now allows sharing driving modes between different users of the Varg (in the style of a specific social network) to enjoy similar driving experiences. The price of this fun electric motorcycle is around 12,000 euros.
