With the atmosphere of great musical occasions, Barcelona is already preparing for the marathon of four Coldplay concerts in a row that begins this Wednesday in the Catalan capital. As of this noon, there are already several people who are queuing in front of the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium, in Montjuic, to gain access to the best positions in the venue.

A few hours before the start of the event —which opens the doors at 5:00 p.m., but the band led by Chris Martin will not see the stage until 9:30 p.m.— some young people prepare themselves at the gates of the Estadi singing and remembering the lyrics of the british band.

The British band Coldplay will give this Wednesday night the first of the four concerts scheduled until Sunday May 28 at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona, four dates for which they sold out months ago the 200,000 tickets in total that went on sale .

The Barcelona City Council has reminded attendees of the ways they have to get to the venue where the concerts will take place. Those who have tickets can arrive by metro or bus from the Zona Franca, Plaza Espanya or Paral·lel. In addition, they will have a special bus service for after the concert to Plaza Espanya until 1.30 am.

Chris Martin’s band will also perform on Thursday 25, Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 on their only Spanish dates as part of the European stadium tour that is part of the ‘Music Of The Spheres World Tour’, which began in Costa Rica in March 2022.

Tickets for the concerts in Barcelona sold out in record time, and the promoter Live Nation has highlighted that it becomes the first band to perform for four nights in a row in a stadium in Spain.

Chvrches will be the opening act in the four concerts of the band in Barcelona, while the Madrid band Hinds will be this Wednesday and Thursday and the artist One Mafalda on Saturday and Sunday.

Another of the highlights of the tour is its commitment to “sustainability and innovation”, since it is designed with 100% renewable energy in practically all countries and uses solar panels and wind turbines in all shows, says the promoter.
