In The Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia we can see these images of the Fluvià river, as it passes through Olot, in La Garrotxa, with chocolate-colored water.
The river falls more swollen thanks to the last spring storms, which also drag dirt into the Fluvià bed and the water acquires this brown color.
The Fluvià River rises in the mountains of Collsacabra and flows into the Mediterranean in the marshes of Empordà , near Sant Pere Pescador, after traveling 70 km through the regions of Garrotxa and Alt Empordà .
In April the river presented a totally different aspect. The little flow of water it had was a reflection of the lack of rain. It was especially noticeable in the streams and streams that flow into the Fluvià and that, in some cases, were totally dry.
On the other hand, after many days of drought, a new DANA has also brought the expected rainfall to this area of ​​the province of Girona.
The animals seem to have noticed it and have been seen more active on the banks of the river, such as herons. Cattle will also benefit from this growth of the Fluvià when they go to graze.
