The TNC, together with other European theatres, is hosting TDDAY (Theatre Democracy Day) today, a reading of five texts, “the freshest in Europe” says the TNC, which will form part of a collective work, written by European authors who talk about problems of adolescence based on their testimonies.

These are five short plays, in which the playwrights tackle different themes that, in this edition, will talk about issues that interest teenagers, such as sex, ecology, personal and family relationships, etc.

The five playwrights, Martha Balthazar, Alessandro Berti, Tiago Correia, Daniela Feixas and Cédric Orain, who come from five countries, have worked directly with witnesses aged between 13 and 18.

The initiative is part of the Between Lands project, which includes TNC, KVS in Brussels, Comédie de Reims, Teatro Nacional São João and Emilia Romagna Teatro de Bologna. The resulting works will be translated into six languages ​​and preserved in the Library of Democracy.

Chloé Dabert directs this reading, which features Isabelle Bres, Marc Garcia Coté, Biel Rossell, Júlia Mascort, Biel Montoro and Miriam Moukhles. At 7 p.m., in the TNC Workshop Room.
