The case of the Jesuit Cesc Peris, now octogenarian and retired in Manresa, has been like stirring a vesper with a stick. Denounced for alleged abuse in Bolivia, where he spent a short season, a total of 234 former students of the Casp Jesuit school in Barcelona, ​​where he spent 30 years, wondered why he had not been denounced here if his ” inappropriate conduct†was a public domain secret.

A., an engineer, 78 years old, who also studied up to high school in Casp, remembers that brother C. “took care of the little ones in activities that were not strictly academic: recess, the dining room, the homework room… Her table was on a platform with three steps. V., the first complainant, has submitted a letter to the firm commissioned by the Church to audit its cases of pederasty. According to V., brother C. stapled his genitals. Like other former students, he assures that the academic preparation he received at this center was excellent and that he does not regret having studied there.
J. was part of the first BUP class that had Cesc Peris as tutor. He remembers that one day the English teacher said in the classroom: “Ask me anything you want”. And the typical jester of the group exclaimed: “How many women have you slept with?”. When the Jesuit Peris found out about the events “he expelled him for a week”. Sex was taboo at the school long ago, as former students over 70 years old know well.
One of these former students remembers that in the 1960s a friend was expelled from the Casp school (“as a great favor to his family they accepted him at the Jesuits of Sarrià “). His crime was to collect the photos of Brigitte Bardot that were published in Paris Match and other French magazines.
