The well-known judge of the National Court Santiago Pedraz is expecting his fourth child with his partner Elena Hormigos this November. Both have been officially together since last December, when the magistrate’s break with Esther Doña was made public, to which he came to ask for marriage.
Pedraz will turn 65 in November, while the bank employee has turned 36 and will have maternity leave with the judge. According to the first information, the offspring will be a male and will receive the name of Jacobo. However, the father has neither confirmed nor denied this point, he has simply limited himself to assuring journalists that “everything is fine.”
Jacobo will be the fourth child of magistrate Pedraz after Santiago, Alejandro and Paula Arenas, all of them the result of previous relationships. This name of Hebrew origin means “whom God protects” or “held by the heel.” It is a clearly biblical name and closely linked to the Catholic and Jewish religion.
The judge of the National Court thus receives good news after the scare caused by having to be admitted to the hospital for colic that caused him extreme pain. Pedraz went to the emergency department of the Nuestra Señora del Rosario clinic in Madrid, where he remained until two days later, when he was discharged from the hospital.
In addition, the magistrate also received public criticism from his ex-partner, Esther Doña, who accused Pedraz of “irresponsible” after his new girlfriend’s pregnancy only four months after starting a new relationship.
