Jordi Évole has won the bet he made in February with Macarena Olona. The communicator interviewed the politician then for Lo de Évole and dared to make a prediction about his political future, both reaching an agreement: bet a dinner.

After her commented departure from Vox last July for health reasons “out of her control”, the woman from Alicante withdrew from the political front line and went from being the party’s spokesperson in the Congress of Deputies without giving an opportunity to a possible return. However, Évole was not so convinced of her, because months later, during their meeting for the interview, he assured that her return to politics was a matter of time.

Well, that’s how it has been. Évole has won his bet and now demands that Olona comply with what was agreed. “You owe me a dinner, Macarena Olona. First notice,” wrote the Catalan on the social network.

A message that was answered by politics just a few minutes later, and although he seemed to agree, even using Catalan in his message, what was not very clear to him is who will pay. “Who will pay for dinner? Jordi, let it be in Barcelona and with snails and sausage”.

The woman from Alicante decided to retire from politics for health reasons, but also because of her decision to distance herself from the Vox ideology, which she had been following since 2019. Évole, during the interview, was very direct, asking Olona if she would resume her position in the future: “Are you going to return to politics?”

Olona, who recalled that she had complied with what was established in September when she assured that she was not going to run in the municipal elections and her main objective was to resume her work as a State lawyer; she explained to Évole that she would be “at the disposal of the Spanish” for whatever she might go through. “If I return to politics, it will be for Granada or it will not be. And I tell you this without surveys and without knowledge: I am loyal.”

“Do you see yourself leading a new formation, with new acronyms?” the communicator insisted again. Politics continued with his speech, reiterating: “I am with all those Spaniards who are looking forward to finding a project in which they trust and that will awaken their illusion again. I don’t know if it will be one of the existing projects or a new one” .

Faced with this answer, Évole was betting a dinner with his guest: “I think that he is going to run in the general elections with a new formation. I sign it and I even bet a dinner,” he assured. A proposal that Olona accepted, who will now have to comply, since he has already registered his party to run in the general elections on July 23.
