In the Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia we can see this spectacular view of Pedraforca from the beautiful town of Gisclareny, from where the popular fork that separates the peaks of the mountain can be perfectly appreciated.

Pedraforca is one of the most emblematic mountains in Catalonia, located in the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park area.

Its best known view is the one that can be seen from its eastern slope. At the northern peak we find the Pollegó Superior peak, at 2,506 meters high, and the Calderer peak, at 2,505 meters high. The southern peak is made up of Pollegó Inferior, at an altitude of 2,445 metres.

From Gisclareny, the smallest town in Catalonia, we have spectacular views of Pedraforca. With just 28 residents, it has been considered, since 2018, the Catalan municipality with the fewest inhabitants, after succeeding Sant Jaume de Frontanyà in this ranking.

It limits to the north with Cerdanya, reaching the peaks of the Sierra del Cadí, and with Bagà, to the south, and to the west, with Saldes and Vallcebre; to the east, with Bagà and Guardiola.
