What is the route of a piece of waste from when it is deposited in the yellow container until it re-enters the productive cycle? Are all plastics recyclable? What plastics are today, due to their difficulty of recovery, the most harmful to the planet?
These are just some of the many questions that usually arise related to the plastic recovery process, which, however, do not prevent the constant increase in recycling figures. Only in 2022, according to data from Ecoembes, more than 780,000 tons of plastics were deposited in containers and bins in Spain alone. The organization points to an average of 27.1 kg of containers per inhabitant deposited per year in the yellow and blue containers. These are spectacular figures and the increase has certainly been constant but still insufficient.
