The coordinator of the Ebau de Cantabria has resigned from his position due to errors in three exams of this call, which the University of Cantabria (UC) assures that they will not cause “any harm” to the more than 3,000 students who have participated in the tests .
This was announced by the Vice Chancellor for Students of the UC, Marta GarcÃÂa Lastra, together with the Director General of Educational Inspection of Cantabria, Mercedes GarcÃÂa Pérez, after the meeting held this Friday between the University and the regional government to analyze what happened in the Evaluation of the Baccalaureate for University Access (Ebau).
The person in charge of the Ebau has made the position available to the vice-rector, who has asked him to continue until the extraordinary call in July to, at its end, “restructure the team” that organizes the tests.
The University of Cantabria recognizes three errors in the Spanish Language and Literature tests, in History of Spain and in Latin, which, the vice-chancellor has assured, were “resolved, in some cases during the development of the exam”.
In the case of History of Spain, it is an extra question that will not be counted for the mark, while in Language and Literature a poem was included that was not included in the agenda, which was replaced by another, as happened with a Latin text. “The main thing is to apologize for the mistakes,” GarcÃÂa Lastra stressed.
The University is not afraid that the students will request a repetition of the tests because the measures adopted “are going to avoid any damage”.
