In The Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia we show the spring beauty of the Bages fields, full of light and color.
They are a wonder for the modest amateur photographer, who enjoys capturing the most photogenic frames, if not bothered, to share with the most discerning readers.
The Bages region occupies the southeast corner of the central Catalan depression and has an area of 1092 km². The capital is Manresa, but it has 30 municipalities, including a part of Lluçanès and a municipality of Alta Segarra.
As for the vegetation, most of it is Mediterranean in character, but it also has many sub-Mediterranean elements, especially in the higher areas.
The predominant cultivation in the region is rainfed, but there is also an irrigated area with orchard crops of about a thousand hectares, thanks to the construction of the Sèquia de Manresa, one of the main works of medieval civil engineering in Europe.
