Within a few hours of each other, two very different images of the Salt del Cabrit have been recorded, one with water and the other with a lot of it, like an overwhelming waterspout, as can be seen in this comparative series in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia.

The Salt del Cabrit, at the tail of the Sau reservoir, days ago was without much water due to the extreme drought. With the last rains its appearance has changed, as we see in the images.

To the south of Sant Martí Sescorts we find the well-known Salt del Cabrit, where the stream rushes into the pools and the Sau swamp, in front of the monastery of Sant Pere de Casserres.

What is normally the spectacular Barra de Ferro waterfall, on the Riera de les Gorgues, very close to the hermitage of Sant Bartomeu Sesgorgues, now combines days with a lot of water when it rains, with others in which it shows a waterfall much finer.

The other good news is that the nearby meander of the Ter, in the Sau swamp, is already surrounded by new water at the foot of the monastery of Sant Pere de Casserres.
