Today the PP has facilitated the change in the Morella City Council by supporting a new party, Independents per Morell, with a young Berbané Sangüesa as the new mayor, thus breaking 32 years of socialist government.

The investiture plenary session has thus cleared up doubts about the Mayor’s Office in a municipality with electoral results on May 28 that gave 5 councilors to the PSOE, 4 to Independents per Morella and 2 to the PP.

Finally, the PP has supported the candidacy of Independents per Morella and has led to a change of color in the consistory in which until now Ramsés Ripollés was mayor and in which the acting president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, was mayor for 18 years.

Bernabé Sangües, a journalist by profession and a member of the PSOE until the beginning of this year, has assured that he assumes the position with “enormous responsibility” and has shown his desire to “be a mayor for all and the same passionate, fighting and committed neighbor”.
